Now that we’ve sized up the Wild on every level, it’s time we predict how we think it all plays out. I do this with the caveat that last year, I wrote, “I can’t see how so many people are picking Phoenix. I think the Hawks win, and I don’t think it’ll be that hard.” Whoops.
Just about a year ago, to the day, the music and film-making communities lost one of their most innovative sons, MCA of the Beastie Boys, Adam Yauch. And while it’s ultimately a trivial gesture, perhaps the best (and only) manner for this site to pay homage is in this form, to our man MCA, who had a beard like a billy goat.

But then the playoffs hit, and Druce from out of nowhere came up with 14 goals in 15 playoff games after scoring only 8 in 45 regular season games.

We’ll move toward the back for the Wild, and this is where the major cracks for them begin to show. The Wild’s blue line corps is kind of like a muffin. Scrape off the tasty top, and you’re left with a flavorless hunk of not much with the rest that you’d really rather just chuck in the trash. At least that’s what I’m told. I don’t eat muffins.

In the regular season, the Hawks went 2-0-1 against Minnesota, with the shootout loss coming during the second game of the Hawks’ early season ice capades trip. Much has changed for the Wild’s forward corps even since the Hawks last faced them back on April 9th, where they were shut out.
