Buy Sam’s Book: Madison St. Station

It’s finally here, what I’ve been working on for most of the past year. Let’s just call it my Fever Pitch. No, not the terrible Jimmy Fallon movie. Or even the barely adequate one with Colin Firth. No, the Nick Hornby book.

This is the story of the Hawks fall from grace, their rise back up beyond anything they were before, and everything came with it. It’s also my story, and I’m betting it’s a lot of your stories too. How I became a fan, how it helped shaped my life and me, how it interacted with everything good and bad that came to me, and how I eventually ended up standing out in the snow and cold for eight years talking to all of you. It applies to more than Hawks fans I feel as well, as it’s the story of how being a fan of a team can add to and/or complicate just about everything in life. How it can bring so many together, and occasionally keep us apart.

So I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, tell a friend.
