    With the Hawks’ win at the Tire Fire yesterday, they now stand on the precipice of being the first team in the league to officially clinch a playoff berth. The 9th place Coyotes currently sit at 40 points with 10 games left to play, which would max them out at 60 points. However, if the Coyotes were to win out in regulation and were the Hawks to lose out in regulation, they’d be tied but the Yotes would have more regulation and overtime wins. However, all of that is rendered immaterial today with a single point, and the Hawks will have officially gained entrance to the post season party, despite standing outside and waiting for it to open since mid-February.

    Don't Lean on Me Man Cause You Can't Afford the Ticket: Blackhawks 1, Predators 0

    In the first game of a back-to-back, the Blackhawks never had to take it out of third gear and still thoroughly outplayed the Nashville Predators. If it weren’t for Pekka Rinne, the Predators could have lost this game going away. So pretty much the exact same story as when the teams met on Monday and likely will be the same tomorrow. On to the bullets.

    Don’t Lean on Me Man Cause You Can’t Afford the Ticket: Blackhawks 1, Predators 0

    In the first game of a back-to-back, the Blackhawks never had to take it out of third gear and still thoroughly outplayed the Nashville Predators.     These used to be a regular thing in an NHL schedule. I remember a time when it felt like the Hawks and Leafs played about 15 weekend back-to-backs against each other per season, with the Saturday in Toronto and the return back on Madison. They seem to have gone away now, which is a shame. Maybe with the division schedule next year, they’ll return a little. We shall see.

    Committed Indian Road Watch Party – Today At Sheffield's

    A last reminder for everyone – We’re going to be drinking and eating BBQ over at Sheffield’s today for the game. We’d love to see everyone out there. There will be beer specials on Two Brothers beers and there’s always the off chance that Fels actually follows up on his threats to smack me with a fish.. or something. This is what happens when you show Monty Python to children that aren’t quite ready for it.

    Anyways – Sheffield’s is at 3258 N Sheffield Ave and it’s not too far from several CTA stops or bus lines. Get out here and drink some beers with us. We’ll be in the back room.
