You’re on a different road, I’m in the milky way
You want me down on earth, but I am up in space
You’re so damn hard to please, we gotta kill this switch
You’re from the 70’s, but I’m a 90’s b*tch
I threw your sh*t into a bag and pushed it down the stairs.
I crashed my car into the bridge.
I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone.
I crashed my car into the bridge.
I watched, I let it burn.

DON’T TELL ME NO LIES AND KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF: On The Forecheck
These used to be a regular thing in an NHL schedule. I remember a time when it felt like the Hawks and Leafs played about 15 weekend back-to-backs against each other per season, with the Saturday in Toronto and the return back on Madison. They seem to have gone away now, which is a shame. Maybe with the division schedule next year, they’ll return a little. We shall see.

A last reminder for everyone – We’re going to be drinking and eating BBQ over at Sheffield’s today for the game. We’d love to see everyone out there. There will be beer specials on Two Brothers beers and there’s always the off chance that Fels actually follows up on his threats to smack me with a fish.. or something. This is what happens when you show Monty Python to children that aren’t quite ready for it.
Anyways – Sheffield’s is at 3258 N Sheffield Ave and it’s not too far from several CTA stops or bus lines. Get out here and drink some beers with us. We’ll be in the back room.

Due to your overwhelming support of us, we’ve already far exceeded what traffic our servers can handle, so the site will be upgrading this evening starting at around 6:00PM central time, and will be closed for around 3 or so hours.
Thank you for your patience, and we appreciate your readership.
Though some of us are at least mildly concerned, and some are in a full-blown panic about the Hawks, it’s Friday, it’s the first warm weekend of the year (at least as far as I can remember), and that all should be cause to have a little fun.
If you’re like me — and judging by the fact that you’re reading a hockey blog and most of you have demonstrated a similar musical taste and attitude, you most certainly are — then you were also probably a pretty fucking awkward teenager. Then again, everyone’s an awkward teenager.
