After a break for the holidays, we return with an extended edition of the podcast, since it’s been about 3 weeks since all four of us had last convened. A bevy of topics are covered, with even more time spent shitting on Bruce Boudreau’s big dumb bald head than usual. Grab it after the jump.
With the gang all home for the holidays, the Hawks’ recent streak is discussed along with some of the roster flexibility that they may need further down the line. Now let’s all put on our earmuffs and belt out some Christmas carols together.
In this latest installment, we somehow manage to gripe and carp for nearly an hour about how boring this team is without either Jonathan Toews or Corey Crawford. Also, using our four combined medical degrees and various residencies at places like the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins, we determine that back injuries are probably not good. And that neither is Trevor van Reimsdyk. Audio after the jump.
With the final Circus Trip in the books, the back end of it is dissected as the Hawks spend a healthy portion of December at home, tonight’s guests the Panthers are discussed at length, and a new segment, “Get The Hell Out Of My Playoffs” (with apologies to Dan Bernstein and the Score’s afternoon show) is introduced. Links after the jump.
While this installment had minimal technical difficulties, that’s more than can be said for the Hawks last night. And now that that’s behind everyone, Sam, Slak, and I look ahead to the annual (and possibly last) Black Wednesday tilt in San Jose against the Sharks with old friend Derek, formerly of Fear the Fin. Links after the jump.
In the immediate moments preceding whatever Hawks/Flames was last night, Sam and Slak try to contain their Cubs Fever while all of us wonder when the PK will improve and when anything is going to begin to matter. Get a taste.
Holy shit, this actually got done two weeks in a row. And what a riveting 40ish minutes this is, wherein the training camp roster battles and Artemi Panerin’s contract issue are discussed. Find new and exciting ways to fill your ear holes with us after the jump.
With apologies to Dennis Miller Live’s theme music, we decided to counter-program last night’s debate with the issues that are really on the mind of the American Electorate.
In yet another attempt to make something out of this format, Sam, FifthFeather and myself discuss matters both of local and league-wide interest as the new campaign begins tomorrow night. Stream below or download direct here.
With there being about 40 hours (give or take, depending on time zones) between the death honk of the Ducks and the Kings taking the ice on West Madison tomorrow afternoon, there’s obviously not nearly enough time to get as in depth into the opponent in print as we’d like here. Fortunately we’ve got you covered.
