Everything Else

Gotten a little bored of doing some of our recurring posts, when we’ve even had time to get to them, so today I’m just going to spit out whatever’s rattling around in my freshly-shorn scalp at the moment.

So let’s start with what I’ve been most vocal about, and that’s the goalies. It’s funny, it was perfectly encapsulated by a discussion that was had during the afternoon transition on The Score 670 between Dan McNeil and Dan Bernstein.

I know a lot of you hate both of them, and I understand why. And in full disclosure, they’re both friends of mine and have been for a while. But today they illustrated how this Crawford-Emery debate is actually two different debates that only have a little to do with each other.

Everything Else

I don’t often comment outside of the link intros, but I love how Hoss has the least emotion of anyone in a Hawks sweater in this picture including Captain Serious.

It would appear the over-arching theme of tonight’s game is our coach once again deciding to create a controversy and make himself (and no one else) feel like a genius. Ray Emery will get the start again, for reasons you’ll have to figure out yourself. I got nothin’.

It’s not a matter of seeing if Emery can go back-to-back, because he did this weekend. It’s not about riding a roll, because Emery was basically “meh” on Sunday. This isn’t about establishing a goalie platoon (which he shouldn’t be doing anyway), because if it was then Crawford would be rotated in.
