Life is like a riddle and I’m really stumped.

I’m gettin’ edgy all the time, someone around me’s just a step behind. It’s kinda scary, the shape I’m in. The walls are shaking and are closing in.

Russian spies, they don’t scare me anymore.

War-games in the Third World on the street outside of your house. What are you willing to pay for security and privilege? There’s no shelter for stray dogs; we used to be pets now we’re just beggars.

Nine years and fifty days held hostage by pirates. Sold down the coast, don’t try to fight the currents. For those who can afford it, there’ll always be white sand on private beaches.

My heart got kicked out of all its homes. And dying young just didn’t work so I guess I’m dying old. And there ain’t nowhere left to go, ’cause all my loves would rather be alone.

We thought about the ways we’d love to go, high and beautiful and fucking in the snow.

I never wanted to die old. But it’s too late now, my heart has grown so cold. And the corpse I leave behind ain’t gonna be no pretty boy, it’s a sick sack of disease.
