You waited long enough and tonight, Blackhawk fans, you got that goalie win you’ve all patiently waited for. Sure, the Blackhawks have had their share of playoff shutouts in the past 6 years but since Game 1 of the 2010 Western Conference Finals, there hasn’t been a more dominant performance by a Hawks goalie.
Unfortunately, goalie wins are generally the result of being supremely outplayed and that was no different tonight. With the exception of the first five minutes of the game and the last five minutes of regulation, the Hawks were unable to establish any kind of zone time.
So open your eyes child, let’s be on our way. Broken windows and ashes Are guiding the way. Keep quiet no longer, we’ll sing through the day, of the lives that we’ve lost and the lives we’ve reclaimed.
We are the angry and the desperate, the hungry, and the cold. We are the ones who kept quiet and always did what we were told. But we’ve been sweating while you slept so calm in the safety of your home. We’ve been pulling out the nails that hold up everything you’ve known.
Warm yourself by the fire, son, and the morning will come soon. I’ll tell you stories of a better time, in a place that we once knew. Before we packed our bags and left all this behind us in the dust, we had a place that we could call home and a life no one could touch.

With the series now turning north and back to the west side tonight, the Hawks find themselves in an unfortunately familiar spot, down two games to an opponent, something that has happened each of the last three playoff years. And this go-around might be the most rancorous yet.
We’re not one to make excuses for any bonehead activities from our favorite team. When we think someone is being a lunkhead, we’ll call them out. We also aren’t ones that feel dirty hits have any place in the game. It’s an extremely physical game and sometimes things cross a line. I’d like to give Seabrook the benefit of the doubt and say he lost himself and threw a hit that while wasn’t entirely dirty, definitely was reckless. It never should have happened.
The rest of this series wasn’t going to be easy even without that hit. Now things are almost sure to only get uglier and uglier. The team that can avoid getting lost in looking for blood will have the advantage. The Blues may headhunt and you can’t really blame them. The Hawks may continue to lose their minds and play like.. well.. like the Blues. Neither team will win by doing this. So instead of getting angrier and angrier…. Lets all paint some happy little trees?
Most of you are probably getting ready to celebrate Easter with your family, and rightfully so. However, to other people, this is a different holiday all together. One strong proponent of the less than legal aspect of the day is Lagunitas brewery founder, Tony Magee. Tony actually grew up in Rogers Park and the suburbs, and lets face it, Rogers Park is pretty much a suburb already. However, music took him out to California. While out there, Tony fell in love with craft beer and in 1993 took his homebrewing to the next level and opened a small craft brewery.
So where do we begin? The first 30 minutes? The last 30 minutes period? The last 6 seconds? The overtime? The hit? I’m really not sure. This felt like about 4 games in one and there’s likely still about four more games left.
I’ll just get right to my thoughts. Apologies for the randomness as I’m still a bit scatterbrained after experiencing that.
